Blawnox Borough: Consent Order Compliance

Sanitary Sewage System Inspection Project

Blawnox Borough, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania

(Municipal Contracts, A,B,C,D)

Allegheny County Health Department / Administrative Consent Order

Background:

Blawnox Borough, much like Senate Engineering Company’s other “Consent Order clients”, are committed to comply with Allegheny County Health Department’s Administrative Consent Order. This decree requires municipalities to execute several tasks to assess their sewer systems under yearly deadlines.  In short, the major goal is to reduce inflow and infiltration into the ALCOSAN system and reduce combined sewer overflows and flooding within the region.  Senate Engineering Company undertook the responsibility of overseeing the inspection and inventory of Blawnox’s sewage system

A GIS Inventory Map of a section of Blawnox Borough's CCTV and Dye Testing Program under the Consent Order Program. GIS is used to keep track of and assess Blawnox's yearly progress  for these requirements.
